A cursory look at the head revealed a couple of markings, one that simply says "19," and a second one that is the registration symbol a circle around an "R". There are probably more markings, but at this point, I don't know what I am looking for.
If you can help us out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Let me start by saying Welcome to Fordbarn!!
Realistically, you cannot tell a lot until you see the combustion chamber where you can compare it to others whom we know the manufacturer and what their chamber looked like.
As far as aero inspired, maybe but probably not. Most powerplants that I have seen of homebuilt planes (Peitenpol, etc.) all used stock heads because of the budget. Granted there were exceptions. I have a Funk head that is alloy however it has around 4½ compression ratio and was set-up for an inverted engine. I would guess your head was probably made by someone like Dan Iandola back in the 60s or 70s. Again, you really need to see the combustion chamber design to have a better idea. Until then, go enjoy.
