The Ford Barn - View Single Post - When replacing a condenser, where does the insulating washer go?

Now that all this is done, is there a plastic or rubber plug that should go in the hole after all is said and done? I know originally there was some sort of sealing wax in there that got destroyed the first time this got changed out 150 years ago.
