Your vacuum port in the manifold should work OK for the wipers but is probably not the best place for your vacuum advance. Most vacuum advance use "ported vacuum" (vacuum tap above the throttle plates) , not manifold vacuum.

Unfortunately it is very rare to find a Stromberg with vacuum ports. I ran into the same problem with my Y-Block. I have three vacuum taps, Power brake booster, vacuum modulator for trans and vacuum advance.
