I suggest crawling under the car and reach up on top of the crossmember in the center to see if the square bolt is properly seated in the locating hole in the crossmember. You could also remove the spring and install it the other way to see if the problem follows the spring. It may be an indication one side is weaker than the other, possibly a broken leaf.
