I would suggest contacting one of the circle track racers in your area and ask them about a reputable shop near you. The link above is the one I used [Foster Road store] back in the '60s.

They are the guys that did the '49 a couple of years back. I needed everything AND straitened out my thinking on "old school" cooling. Back in the day 4 core was it. Not so much now. 3 large tubes and more fins per inch. A Balance between "dwell time" of the water flow and airflow.

If one didn't look real close it would be hard to tell if it wasn't original. I guess my point is the shops servicing the circle track guys know about maximizing your cooling. If you are going to have work done on the tanks you are 1/2 way there as to updating your core.
