I was wrong.

It is not solid.

I could find no letters or numbers on it.

I'm lucky I changed it for a new solid repo replacement.

The old rod/tube is .701" in diameter, but the worn area is only .542".

I was able to easily drive a punch through what little tube remained in that worn area.

You can also see that the end is capped.
