I did have one of these reproduction "up start", which was a knock off of an original FULTON accessory starter. It did not work well. And I soon took it off.

50 years ago I had an original "DuoTro" dash mounted hand-starter, with built in choke. It worked very well. But was just 'candy', and not a real improvement over the foot starter.
