Stock or not, a V8 just doesn't drop in place on a stock Model A. You will need to adjust and change the engine location and mounting, the trans and the length of the driveshaft and the arrangement and mounting of the pedals. Depending on your final placement of the motor, it can impact the location of the steering box.
It may sound like a simple drop in, but there are a number of things you need to consider before taking this project on. Get Tardell's book. You'll see rather quickly if this conversation is for you or not. Then all you'll be out is the $50 bucks, but you'll also have a great resource on your hands.
