When I did mine I coated the inside of the tires with baby powder, put the tube in, removed the valve stem and gave it a little air. I mounted the tire using dish soap on the bead and then inflated the tube a couple of times without the valve stem to seat everything. 5 years on and they are all still holding air like they should.
