Default Re: Gas shutoff valve

I drained the tank into a gas can from the gas line by disconnecting from the carb. I have a pencil filter so of course there is some left when it is otherwise drained. then, inside the car, I took out the mat and the floorboards knowing there would be some dripping of gas. While taking the valve off, I was careful to have a shallow can underneath to catch the remaining gas. Wear a short sleeve shirt as there will be some draining down onto your hand as you go. It's inevitable. Just do it in a ventilated space with no sparks or open flames. Once the remaining gas is drained, you're good to go. There were only a couple cups of gas remaining, so its not that much, but there will be some that gets on your hands and even down your arm, so make sure to have the floor out and you should be OK.
