Finally got thru the shields and found the thread.

The main reason it is so difficult to retrofit a 54/56 is the height of the anchor pin, it is too short to accept the retaining plate and the cable eyelet. In this instance it was alleviated by not using the anchor plate and replacing it with a small washer.

I don't think so.
