Less known is the fact that early '34 dashes were actually carry-over '33s without a built-in instrument panel. A special panel equal in size to the surrounding raised area of a common '34 panel was used for the instruments and unless you look close you do not perceive that there are two separate components. Those special early '34 instrument panels are fairly rare. A NOS one sold recently on ebay.
