How about the width between the two water pump mounting points? I forgot to ask about that.

I was aware of the additional length due to the pulleys on the later engines. My thoughts are to go to a 59A in a car that's currently set up for an 8RT, specifically because of the shallower belt/fan depth of the earlier engine. Length being the same helps avoid needing to reposition (or modify) the engine mounts on the frame.
