I used to run that stuff about 45 years ago (when I ran stock pumps with bushings). My bet is that it didn't do a dang thing. The original 37-48 pumps had an oil-lite bronze bushing that received some amount of oil through a hole in the block (just a sort of 'drip feed' from the cam gear area). I'm not sure much oil ever actually got to the bushing - never took a pump off that had any appreciable amount of oil in the transfer hole . . . so who knows.

In today's world I have Skip rework my stock pumps and put in sealed roller bearings (like the truck pumps had) - so I no longer have to worry about pump lubrication and leaking bushings.
