Did this last fall by removing the coil completely from the distributor but I was replacing both the distributor and condenser at the same time. Worked for me and I felt like a 16 year old again with how I had to get limbered up to reach the two coil screws and the one distributor bolt on the condenser. This was a three bolt helmet distributor as originally equipped. Did this without removing lower radiator pan but like I said limbered up!! 1938 Deluxe Convertible Club Coupe.
