Default Re: 1937 wheels , reduction and wider

Speedway sells 15" centers and wheel shells of almost any width (8-14") you might want. We use them all the time to make wheels for our dirt modifieds. If you have a welder, you can probably make your own. I don't know of anyone who makes 14" centers; they probably wouldn't fit over the brake drums anyway. Also, have you looked into availability of 14" tires lately (especially larger sizes)? They are not used much anymore, and not easy to find, especially in larger sizes. I know I had a hell of a time finding a set for the old lady's Colt Vista.

Also, fitting the stock hubcaps will be a problem.

In the final analysis, this doesn't seem to be a good idea. If you want to proceed, contact someone like "Wheelkid" on the H.A.M.B. Good luck.
