Re: Lincoln V12 crankshaft bearing specifications
Here's a real update, 10 pistons and rods out , last 2 frozen solid. I'm soaking in the magical mix for a few days and we'll see what happens. This engine was on a 45 degree angle in the outdoors for who knows how long so the right side is definitely worse off. Got the very unusable clutch, pressure plate and flywheel off as well. Put the crankshaft back upright for time being. My goal is to get the camshaft out to save as well, will be cleaning up the rods after I remove the pistons. Here's a bonus pic of the oil level float. These Lincoln engines didn't have a dipstick but a float with a thin brass rod protruding through the intake manifold with an indicator to let you know when the oil level was low. This thing is a moose compared to a Ford V8.
