My first car in high school was a '30 fordor in Big Bear Lake, Ca., 6,000' elevation. Heading down the back grade to the desert on a long straight stretch I kicked it into neutral and coasted as fast as it would go, terminal speed was 70 MPH! I guess shoeboxes aren't very aerodynamic. Fortunately, I didn't need to use the brakes. 62 years later I lost the need for speed and enjoy the more "Model A" pace of 45-50.
