Re the original question, It is (as said) a simple matter of spacing things up until they clear. Hopefully this can be achieved without running out of thread on the bolts. You will have to improvise. What this does mean is that the engine mount pads in the 35 must be lower than a 40 because the engine in my 41 pickup fits fine without any extra spacers.

It might be that your engine mounts may be a little flat/tired which if so, wouldn't help.
