I just went into the garage and had a look at my full fendered '29 CCPU. It looks like w/o splash aprons 1" or so (maybe slightly less) might be normal, but since mine has splash aprons, it seems less and isn't noticeable. Sanding or otherwise altering the blocks will affect how the body fits your frame and may adversely affect the fit of the doors, etc. The blocks should fit snugly into the body sills. Are you building a fenderless high boy?
