Yup, cleaned up the 6 volt armature and drive. I have read that the entire 12 volt starter can be used with a slight mod to the drive. Got in a hurry because I was replacing the flywheel and clutch and rebuilding the T-10. Should have done it.

So does that mean you simply installed the flathead's armature in the case of the Y block starter? Sounds like something even I can do. Electrical stuff has always puzzled me the most.
