I have been there on this one. The .030 rod journal bearings are out there but the
.010 on the rod is the question. I wasted more time searching for this kind of combination not much luck. This operation has to be correct & taking out a loan. I have no choice but to resize the rods back to standard. So now standard rods and .030 on journals are out there. Now the fun. I put the rod cap back on with some torque and Tap the bearing ends with a soft plastic hammer both half's until both just
slide right through the rod with no tight spots so now you have a perfect round shell.
Logic is if the bearing OD is round so will the ID. How they pumped all those engines out a day and fitting bearings that would take a thousand people; can't be. My bet is
they may have used a precision jig press or something. sam
