This is a regular twin so perhaps the off set is different.
Did you just cut off the original fan bracket base and re weld it further over?
Are these cast or forged? How would the welding heat affect the fan hub?

And yes there is a way to correct it.
In my case I fabricated a new fan/pully mount.
This is the new mount.
