Although I'm sure that works, interesting that Ford would use what is essentially a 45 degree ferrule as an interface between an SAE flare seat and a 37-degree seat.
I've seen people bubble flare (35-degrees) the steel tubing and then use that Edelmann fitting to connect to a JIC (37-degree) seat.
