You might find that a 3/4" wheel barrow bearing needs opening up to fit the larger Ford steering shaft. At times the flange limits how deep it fits in the tube; needs to go in deep enough to clear the wheel.

Another alternative is a F-100 pick-up ball bearing and spring along with a Mustang tapered giz. The bearing is tapped into the column tube, cone installed and then the wheel push it down thru the spring. Just have to figure out the depth of the bearing.
