In the last 60+ years I have had it, probably an additional 10k miles have been added to it. I really don’t know. I drove it a lot while I was in high school as my only car, 1962-1964, but afterwards, it sat until about 10 years ago. After I got it running again, I kept it in ‘shakedown mode’ for several years as an excuse to keep driving it. Now it is all pretty again, and I have only added another 2k miles since.

That is what I thought, I would venture to say a good number of cars never came near rolling over 999,000. Modern cars rarely do that and we do much more incidental driving than in those days, I believe.after the first twenty or so years they probably did a lot of sitting. Any comments?
