I don't control the boil and I might consider that the heat is too high due to some impatience. It does turn out well and the syrup is very tasty.

Just received some experimental family moose jerky. First batch was very good.

Sorry about the hippie comment. I didn't know it had bad connotations. I suppose the stereo type of the word sets some off. It's not a drug thing.

Think that is common with captive bees now. Or maybe that is normal. Looking into doing it.
