Originally if your car did not come from the factory with cowl lights then the dealer could have added them for you. Per Fords direction the dealer would install the cowl lights by adding a switch under the dash that spliced into the wiring harness. In that case your car would have working dual bulb headlights and switched cowl lights independent of the headlight switch. The choice is yours but you could just buy the harness for single bulb headlights with cowl light wires which would use the headlight switch. There would be no wire available for the second set of bulbs in the headlight shells
