Hi Scicala, I just looked up the Specifications for the 1959 Ford Engines, as listed in the Ford of USA Sales Brochure, and you are 100 % correct. I don't know how they got it wrong here in Australia. The 352 Engine was never offered in Australia, nor was any 6 Cylinder engine in the full size cars. The 292 was offered in the Australian 1958 big Fords, which were basically the 1956 Ford but updated with the Grille from the 1955 Meteor and the Side Trim from the 1956 Meteor. The "true" 1957 and 1958 Fords were never marked here in Australia. Likewise, Ford Australia never offered a full size Ford after these local 1959-1961 models until they introduced the 1965 Ford Galaxie. Then, from 1965 onwards we received updated models for every year until 1972. The 1972 model was the last of the big Fords sold here in Australia.
