Bingo, happens all the time to classic Cars. The value is in the parts. The amount of risk is based on where you live. Not unusual for car and bike clubs to have people on retainer. Meter man, cable guy, HVAC repairman etc, all report back tips on whose got what laying around. Some are more aggressive than others, but point is to keep low key and don't make it obvious.
