The 46 thru 48 flywheel is different than the 8BA, 49 thru 53 flywheel. The flywheels use different ring gears, see Mac's catalog, the gear off set is different.
The flywheels will fit the crankshafts but do not line up properely, you cannot use a 46 thru 48 flywheel on a 49-53 Merc engine.
