"Just got a ph call from my pop. He relayed the news to me, Dick is in poor, poor health.
He is one of the guys I grew up hanging around. As a very young little man, I remember being at Amherst, or Stafford, or the V8 meets trying to help him vend out of his trailers, probably more in his way than helpful.
I still have 3 old Aurora thunderjet slot cars he gave me at the Rhinebeck swapmeet about 30yrs ago. He said if I ever sold them, to give him half of what I got for them. Well, they are some of my more prized cars for no other reason.
He has done a lot more than sell parts for all these years. He was ever the hot rodder, dirt tracker, "in the field" engineer, and business man. Just an all around good guy."
