The live bearing fan ass'y (not the oil filled type) is repairable but in my
experience the only way to remove the live bearing shaft from the mount is by
drilling the shaft to relieve the interference fit , not press fit. I have a 60 ton press
and it would not budge the shaft until I drilled the shaft...carbide drill 1200 rpm, yikes.
Anytime I find a good fan ass'y at a swap meet I buy it, there's always a
demand. Like Mac says Ford only sold these things as an ass'y not parts.
