I suspect you have other trouble. I'm running a Car EAB in my F-1 with the car's 3-blade fan. I've driven it in 105 deg weather, does not run more than half a needle width hotter than in the winter. I have a shroud (thank you, 4TFord!), all the air deflectors, and my block is very clean. Radiator rodded out and cleaned. Stock water pumps.
Not sure what you mean by "thin and pointed"? This is the Car fan I have. Do you mean thin belts?
