Default Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

A very BIG thanks to Steve and Cliff for giving me a hand with the '51 F-1 radiator swap. We all met at the Hot Rod Breakfast and Steve and Cliff came over to my place afterwards. We got started on the extraction, drained the radiator, pulled the upper hoses, removed the fan and generator so we could pull the radiator and shroud as a unit. After everything was out, we degreased the engine bay, etc. and it was time for PIZZA. After lunch, we installed the new radiator, etc. I'd like to say it was an easy job but that would be stretching the truth. It was in fact a real pain in the butt and between the three of us we added at least a dozen new expletives to our garage vocabulary. In the end, everything went together and there were no leaks. Now the F-1 is once again ready for some long distance runs and more Flathead Fun.
