Not sure how this was a situation of disrespect to you or your car. There's absolutely no reason to get worked up about it.

The guy could've simply liked your car, yet had no idea what the value is of a 1940 Ford XYZ. Not every one is worth $308k. Heck, I've seen cars that I think look neat and would be fun to own, but have no idea what the value would be on them, and I'm a car guy.

A simple "Sorry, it's not for sale" or giving some unrealistic number, and then leaving gets the point across.
