that is what good old fashioned non detergent oil is good for, if you like cleaning that stuff out of your engine refill the engine with non detergent, there will be guys come on here and say never use detergent oil because it will melt your engine, seriously, they are using an 80 old maintance manual which most of the lube part should be thrown in the trash, ford used that oil because that was all that was available, you see what it does, you probably spent a day cleaning that sludge out of your engine, ive seen oil that was run with water in the engine that looked like that, retorque head before starting engine and a few more times after driving the car a little bit
