When it started to absolutely pour down rain on Thursday my group went to the AACA Museum...
Due to the rain on Friday, we went and picked up stuff from various vendors we had to see but made the obligatory trip to Chocolate World pretty early in the day. Then we went to the Hershey Museum, some nice people gave us free tickets as we were walking from the parking garage to the museum so we got in for free, not sure it would have been worth the $10 otherwise.
After that we went to the Hershey Lodge to check out the cars up for Auction at the RM Auction that night.
There were a lot of Woodies in the auction, including this Ford Sportsman
I also got to spend quite a bit of time looking at A189...
Despite the rain ruining Thursday afternoon and Friday on the fields, I still managed to have a great time and got some cool stuff.
Got this Moto-Meter with a Dealer Insert from a guy who has had it for sale in the Red field for the past three years or so. He came down in his price this year so I bought it. R.D. Cunningham was an old Ford Dealer in Evanston, Illinois. I also have an original sales brochure with the dealer info stamped on it.
Overall, yeah, I'd say it was a good Hershey. Lots of people. Lots of vendors. Lots of vendors closing up shop early because of the rain. It was also the first year I sold parts, made a couple bucks, nothing huge but enough to make me happy. However, as always, the best part is getting to see all my old friends and meeting some new people.
The good news is, we're less than a year away from the next Hershey..
Thanks
