DMVs make life difficult for all of us. Low level clerks and an extremely legalisitic process, probably because there is so much potential for fraud. I bought my car from someone in MD and registered it in my name in MD with vintage tags. It was not a problem. The mileage on the title was higher than the mileage I reported there was not an issue. I don't have to renew my tags, so that is good.
