To answer your question, if you buy a ticket and win, the contest rules state "winner need not be present to win but must claim prize on or before July 1, 2013." That means it's your engine and on or before July 1 you have to pick it up or have it shipped to you.

I will personally be at the awards banquet that evening and if you are from out of state and need some time to arrange shipping or storage until you can drive here to pick it up, I will store it in my barn for a reasonable amount of time (couple of months if necessary).

Don't know the cost of shipping but if you are lucky enough to win a $5,000 engine, I would think the additional cost for shipping or gas to come pick it up would be worth it - you've always wanted to visit Texas anyway, right?
