That would be fun. When I built my distributor I limited the vacuum advance to control total advance. Charlie in New York limits his mechanical advance to control total advance. The jury is still out in my mind as to which is better. I am running Charlies and it is doing well so I can't say my way was better but mine worked well also. Charlies hold down is a work of art.
