Default Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

With the weekend fast approaching, we've got a full plate of fun scheduled. Steve, John, Chuck, Cliff, Mike and Don are all planning to be at the garage. The itinerary includes installing the '49 Merc O/D transmission in the '51 F-1 (just so we can temporally move the truck off the lift) and put the Zephyr up so we can fabricate and install a wiring harness for the brake lights. We'll also check out Steve's '46 Coupe to see if we can locate the source of the "chatter" and possibly get Mike's '41 up on the lift to check the rear end... All that work (fun) will definitely call for a PIZZA...

On another subject, have any of you ever used car detailing products from Griot's Car Care? I sometimes get their catalog in the mail but, until this week, I've never bought any of their products as (in my opinion) they are rather pricy... I was at the local car parts store and they were having a SALE on Griot's products. I bought a 35 ounce spray bottle of "Speed Shine, the five minute detail" and a package of micro fiber cloths. I used it on our '39 CS and really liked the result

(not sure the photo is a good representation of the shine) so, I tried some on the '39 LZ (the paint job on the LZ is over 50 years old and to say its not in the best condition is an understatement of gargantuan proportions). Well, now I'm sold on this product. Guess I'll have to watch for the next sale!
