I have just fixed my problem. I apologize for dragging this issue out for so long. After trying everything I could think of and swapping out every part (carb & ignition parts) and it still kept coming back. I had a spark plug wire that was only arcing occasionally. Maybe when I hit a bump or something it moved and arced? But I was looking at it in the dark and I saw a dull flash underneath a wire. But it only did it once or twice. When the problem popped up again I shut it down until dark and looked at it. A wire was sagging and would arc to the stud that the condensor attaches to. I put in all new plug wires and routed them differently. Still had the problem with it missing, but the wire was not arcing anymore. It turns out that I must have fried the condensor or coil whenever the erratic problem surfaced. I swapped out both after putting in new wires and it runs like a champ. The bad wire was only arcing once in a while and not every time it fired. Very strange and hard to find a problem that's not always there. I have changed the condensor and coil 3 times and the problem came back - probably due to wire arcing to the condensor/coil wire.
