Lots of ways to do this and lots of opinions. Many of what has been mentioned, I have done at times. Newer Rustoleum engine paints dry much quicker than older Rustoleum paints. Epoxy spray can paint works OK too ( not really a 2 part epoxy, but OK ). However, if you really want a durable hard surface that resists any chemicals, I would use either of these two paints. You can actually brush it and it will not look like it has been brushed. But those of you with spray guns, air brushes even, can spray it.
