This seller knew exactly what he was doing. In some places they call it a "snow job" in others a lot worse.

He prettied up the outside and used his words carefully. He knew full well that gummy grimy mess was full of problems-- seen and unseen.

You should identify him publicly (here and elsewhere like the HAMB and ShoeboxFord and other flathead forums). At least you could save some other brother from a similar fate.
