I thought it might be reasureing to know that the Europeans have not forgotten!!

Every year at D Day thousands of people descend on the beaches of Normandy

to pay hommage to the soldiers who fought there and often lost their lives.

Many arrive in WW11 USA army trucks jeeps and Harley motorcycles

that thay have restored

I have also seen French store windows decorated in American & British Flags as well

as other wartime artifacts helmets weapons etc

Lets also remember that many Canadian , British and soldiers from other countries were there as well.

Some one famous said that " If we forget our history we risk repeating it"

I hope our politicians are listening !!!!
