Here are some Wolf Whistles. The oldest is the tin bell model at the 8:00 position. The rarest is the one in the foreground with the detachable bell; it's marked "The Submarine-Whistle, Hollywood Super Mfg. Co., LA CAL".
The latest repro's are junk.
(They do change pitch and a "highly-skilled" operator can produce a variety of sounds ... many loud enough to put your hearing aid on standby.)
