Walt I took these pictures along time ago and yes i understand all these exhaust valve are two piece. Not sure about the intakes. I was ay TRW and wtched this operation it's called friction welding. I just run that carbide down the stem and backing out at a 20 deg angle leaving about .90" for a seat. This and the combustion chamber work was included in all my engines, Not sure how well it worked, but most are still running.
