Does it pass the pencil test on the front of the block? This was an interisting engine for me. It seemed to be half an early 39-41 block and half 46-48. Thanks Walt

Walt, it's from a 47 Ford. Here in NZ they used Canadian engines. It is 3 3/16" but I didn't take any notice of the core plugs. It has C59A cast on the block just in front of the left hand head. I've changed the distributor from rabbits ears to crab type. It runs real strong. It also has an 11" clutch which it seems was std here in NZ for 47-48 Fords.
