I can't say it "saved my life, but it has made it a whole lot more interesting. It seems as though whenever I have found myself in the doldrums, I have bought another Model A Ford (but never more than one at a time). Five total over 50 years. It has taught me the basics of a automobile in its most simple form, patience, certain skills (but none Mastered, yet) and has drawn a lot of attention. It has put smiles on faces of kids and made the old folks happy. Now I'm the old folks, and it has been fun. And, it has brought me to the Ford Barn ! No complaints...
